Karnataka Affordable Housing Policy, 2016 (2014-2016)IIHS contributed to the development of Karnataka’s Affordable Housing Policy, 2016, updating the 2013 policy to broaden its scope and incorporate provisions from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). IIHS organised a series of consultations, including a national-level roundtable, to gather insights from other states on formulating and implementing housing policies and to identify key takeaways for shaping Karnataka’s policy.
Solar Decathlon India (2020-2025)SDI is the world’s largest building design competition, in which multidisciplinary college teams partner with private developers, government agencies, NGOs and housing societies to design and build resilient net-zero energy buildings using live projects as testbeds. SDI is co-conducted by IIHS and the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), under the aegis of the Indo–US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF).
