The Kengeri Campus: a Living Laboratory for a Sustainable Community
The IIHS, Kengeri Campus is being developed as a 54-acre Living Laboratory for sustainable cities and inclusive learning. Designed as one of the most biodiverse, net-zero and high-performance building-based campuses in India, it is more than systems and targets — it is a place to live, work, play, think and do.
Set beside an historic 125-acre 13th century lake and 550-acre Reserve Forest, the Kengeri Campus will host residential housing for faculty and staff, sports and play areas, walking and cyclic trails and community food spaces. It will also host the largest open library on urbanisation in the world; a metropolitan museum, art gallery and amphitheatres. Faculty and staff will have the opportunity to live on campus, reclaiming time for innovation, scholarship, family and community.
