Admission to Master’s Programmes

Admissions to the University’s Master’s programmes follows a two-stage process, combining an entrance exam, written submissions, and an interview. For more details, please refer to the Prospectus.

Register and apply online: Submit the application form, with personal details, a Statement of Motivation, an essay, and a sample of work (optional). You may apply for up to two Master’s programmes, with first priority clearly indicated.

Stage 1: Entrance Exam

• Entrance exam: Complete a two-part online exam, to be held on 23 June 2025. You must score at least 40% overall to qualify for Stage 2.
  • General: Reading comprehension, basic math and logical reasoning
  • Advanced: Knowledge-based questions across themes of the Master’s programmes
• Diversity Points: Recognising the value of an inclusive and diverse classroom across various socio-economic categories, the University will follow a weighted Diversity Points system in the admission process.

Stage 2: Essay Evaluation and Interviews

Candidates will be shortlisted based on entrance exam scores and diversity points. Only shortlisted applicants move to Stage 2.

• Essay assessment: Shortlisted applicants’ written essays (submitted with the application form) will be assessed and graded. All responses will be anonymised for review.
• Online interview: Shortlisted applicants are required to appear for a 30-minute online interview.

A minimum combined score of 40% from the essay and interview is required.

Admission and Financial Assistance

• The final selection of applicants will be based on cumulative scores from Stages 1 and 2.
• Admission offers will be made in two rounds via email and on the application portal: First List and Waitlist.
• Admitted candidates must confirm and pay a refundable Admission Deposit of INR 5,000
• Self-attested documents must be submitted and verified to complete admission; no original documents will be retained.
• Shortlisted candidates can apply for financial assistance via the admissions portal. Applications for financial assistance will be evaluated only for selected candidates, after an offer of admission is made.
