Interdisciplinary knowledge and learning for urban transformation.

The IIHS (Institution Deemed to be) University takes urbanisation across the rural–urban continuum, as the core of a new interdisciplinary knowledge paradigm, which embeds teaching and applied research into a continuous learning ecosystem.
To further this transformation agenda, the University will help create unique and new sets of capacities, sensibilities, and perspectives that bridge the contemporary divide between theory and practice. The programmes of study offered by the University reflect this philosophy, along with its core values of being application-oriented and interdisciplinary.
The academic programmes of study were developed via a three-year-long process that brought together global and international partners to create a globally benchmarked, future-oriented, interdisciplinary curriculum for urban transformation theory and practice. This unique curriculum development process, is one of the core strengths of the University, ensuring that it remains locally rooted but globally recognised, embedded, and competitive.
For the academic year 2025–26, the IIHS (Institution Deemed to be) University is offering five full-time academic programmes: a five-year Doctoral Programme, and four Master’s programmes.
