Vivek Leonard brings over two decades of experience in the learning and development (L&D) domain, spanning professional skills, management, and technical training. His work bridges people development, performance management, skill enhancement, and capacity development across diverse sectors and organisations.

At IIHS, Vivek leads the organisation-wide L&D and Talent Management functions. His role focuses on building institutional capacity through structured learning frameworks, robust performance management systems, and the integration of learning as a driver of organisational culture. Within IIHS (Institution Deemed to be) University, his work extends these functions to the academic context, supporting faculty and staff in continuous growth and development aligned with institutional goals.

Before joining IIHS, Vivek managed L&D for JDA Software, overseeing the developmental needs of over 2,500 employees across India. His responsibilities included training needs analysis, programme design, and end-to-end implementation. He has also held key roles at Hinduja Leyland Finance, Scope International (Standard Chartered), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and AOL, where he contributed to learning strategy, transition management, and service delivery oversight.

Vivek is an Electrical Engineer by training from the University of Mysore and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. His expertise lies in facilitating behavioural and professional development through classroom-led programmes, webinars, and coaching interventions. Over the years, his training engagements have reached professionals across India—from junior executives to senior leaders and directors.

A strong advocate of self-driven, experiential learning, Vivek is passionate about introducing new generation learning approaches that promote intrinsic motivation and reflective practice. He is certified to deliver internationally acclaimed programmes such as The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® (FranklinCovey), SLII® (Situational Leadership, Blanchard), Crucial Conversations® for Mastering Dialogue (VitalSmarts), Six Thinking Hats® (Edward de Bono), and Team Role Models (Belbin). His interventions span communication, storytelling, problem-solving, transactional analysis, and design thinking.
