Shalini B G is a Senior Associate with the University Library and has nearly a decade of experience. She is responsible for overseeing the Library’s databases and cartographic materials, handling tasks such as subscribing, accessioning, cataloguing, and facilitating user access. Additionally, she plays a key role in supporting reference and information services, aiding users in locating and accessing both print and electronic resources within the Library. Her responsibilities also extend to collection development, monitoring faculty publications, and maintaining IIHS’ Google Scholar profile and the Knowledge Gateway.

She holds a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Mysore, with professional interests centred around library management, collection development in the digital environment, and electronic library resources and services. She is well-versed in the Koha library management system and proficient in repository systems like Greenstone and DSpace. Shalini has honed her expertise in library classification schemes, including the Dewey Decimal Classification, and cataloguing standards such as Machine Readable Cataloguing and Resource Description and Access (RDA).
