Kinjal Sampat has over a decade of experience in research, and brings expertise in inequality, the vital links between growth and employment, and social protection. Her writing addresses crucial topics such as income security, low-income housing, employment dynamics, and issues of nano- and micro-enterprises.
At IIHS, Kinjal’s current research explores the intersections of human and economic development, with a keen focus on how nano and micro enterprises can drive progress, create jobs, and enhance social safety nets.
She previously held roles at the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship, the Centre for Equity Studies, and the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies. Kinjal holds Master’s degrees in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, and in Sociology of Law from the University of the Basque Country.
