Amphitheatre

The Riparian Amphitheatre at the IIHS, Kengeri Campus, Bengaluru, is a versatile, open-air venue designed to accommodate about 500 people. It is planned to have ancillary facilities including green rooms, a backstage area, and an open exhibition space, and will host a wide range of events, both formal and informal.

This space serves as a setting for convocations, open classroom sessions, talks, and panel discussions, as well as concerts, film screenings, and theatre performances. It has been the venue for key IIHS events, including the convocation ceremonies of the IIHS Urban Fellows Programme.

Strategically located in the Riparian Zone of the Campus, next to the Playground, the Amphitheatre leverages the natural topography, and offers Ramasagara Lake as a stunning backdrop. An existing open well has also been rehabilitated and incorporated into the layout.

Whether for academic discussions or cultural performances, the Riparian Amphitheatre is a unique gathering space that fosters engagement, creativity, and community at IIHS.
